From the U.S. call study: In the 155 calls in our U.S. call study, 48% of callers asked "how much?" first, and many expected about $100–$150. The deeper problem was totals that grew after the first number — fuel surcharges, 3% card fees, removal fees and tax added at the end. Below is everything that can appear on our invoice, and the fees that never will.

Inclusions

What is included in the price?

Every Walter Rental Works porta potty price includes the unit, a full stock of toilet paper and hand sanitizer, deodorizer, delivery and setup, and pickup. Sales tax: Wisconsin taxes equipment rentals at the rate for the delivery address — 7.9% in the City of Milwaukee, 5.9% elsewhere in Milwaukee County, and the 5% state rate plus any county tax elsewhere (Wisconsin DOR rates) — and it is listed as its own line. Tax-exempt groups can send a Wisconsin exemption certificate.

Price factors

What changes the price of a porta potty rental?

Five things set the price of a porta potty rental: the unit type, how long you keep it, how often it is serviced, how many units you rent, and how far the address is from our yard. Day of the week does not change our event price, and Friday-to-Monday weekend placement costs the same as one day.

Questions about this guide

Why was another company's quote higher than the first number they said?

Most often because fees were added at the end: fuel surcharges, card fees, removal fees and tax. Ask any company for the all-in total before you pay. Ours lists every line up front.

Is the price per unit or for all of them?

Our prices are per unit. Delivery is included on event rentals no matter how many units go on the truck.

Is tax added to that, or is that the total?

Sales tax is added as its own line based on your delivery address. Your quote shows the total with tax before you agree.

Do you have a senior or nonprofit discount?

Churches, schools and registered nonprofits can send a tax-exemption certificate, and we offer a discount on orders of 5 or more units. Ask when you call.

Can you match another quote?

Send us the other written quote with all fees shown. If it is for the same unit, dates and service, we will do our best to match it.

Does the price change for a holiday weekend?

No. Holiday weekends cost the same event price. Book early, because Memorial Day, July 4th and Labor Day units go fast.
